Worse Ever Experience

This is the worse service ever experienced and heard off ! On Friday, 31/3/2023 a Premium Ticket for my daughter travelling from Bellville (Cape Town) to Midrand (Gauteng) . The bus is not at the pick-up point at 19:30 as scheduled. A shuttle was send to fetch the passengers at the pick-up point but then got impounded. Another shuttle was send to the pick-up point only to arrive hours later at the bus departure point. None of this was even mentioned upfront that passengers will first travel with a shuttle to the bus departure point. The bus was not the premium bus (as per the ticket booked) but a single decker bus. Entertainment (TV) was out of order, no charging points for phones, no dustbin etc. As per the ticket the bus were suppose to leave Cape town at 19:30, but eventually left Cape Town after 22:00.

After fighting of the ****roaches crawling in the passage of the buss (have video footage) passengers had to hold onto their hand luggage on their laps. The bus drivers petrol card was declined when he filled up at the petrol station, and the bus had to wait for about 1 hour for an EFT to come through to pay for fuel at 3am in the morning.

The worst part was that the bus driver decided to stop at Park Station (JHB) at around 18:00 (it was getting dark already by this time) and instructed all remaining passengers to get off the bus, telling them that another bus OR shuttle will be taking them through to Midrand and Pretoria. That shuttle never came and about 30 people were stranded at Park Station. With none of the station employees knowing what OR how to assist the stranded passengers, they were all left at their own mercy.

I was forced to travel all the way to Park Station to fetch my daughter from Park Station at night.

My question is, how can one person from Greyhound handle 52 passengers? One driver with no ground crew OR a 2nd driver to relief the first as this was a 20Hour+ drive? Is it even legal?

At one stage the driver pulled over whilst the bus was idling on the side of the road, (without even informing the passengers on the reason for the stop next to the road) climbed out and standing next to the bus, clearly putting all the passengers life’s in danger. I am thinking of getting legal advice here. This is completely unacceptable.
