Urgent - COMPLAINT - Pathetic Health and Safety Issues

Good day.

I type this email with utmost disgust.

I travelled as a single parent with my family on the Wednesday 05th October 2022 – 4 of us with the greyhound Dreamliner. This was boy my boys myself and my moms 1st time by bus. To be very honest I heard so many people prepare me for the biggest nightmare of my life, but pleasantly I was surprised. Not only were the drivers amazing – the health and safety state that the bus was in was amazing – it was every penny worth the Dreamliner booking I had made for R920 per person. Ages between 10 and 62 years old. I was happy that I was returning the same way as my ticket price was the same for returning to CPT.

Then all hell broke loose.

On the evening of the 09th of October 2022 me and my family expected the same R920 experience coming back home – this sadly was not the case!!!! It was horrific, terrible, disgusting. A Citiliner plus single bus fetched us at park station. The toilets on the bus were pathetic, I sat at the back of the bus, and it reeked of urine – we could not even eat sitting on the bus. The bus pulled in and passengers got off, then we got on – no time to clean what are greyhounds cleaning protocols….GOSH it is a human right to me in a clean and hygienic environment. From the time myself and many other passengers smelt the toilets.

At this point the bus had already left and there was no turning back – our 1st stop happened and when the lights went on…….. in the pathway of the bus an infestation of ****roaches appeared, they were running on our blanket’s seats etc – thinking about it makes me sick.

I paid R3340 for my returns and I demand my money back…. There is no way that I will leave this even if I must get my lawyers involved, it is unacceptable, it is **************** and a human health risk.

My son suffers from asthma, I suffer from blood clots on my lungs, we could hardly eat, breath or even put our feet down, a 62-year-old pensioner.

Your urgent response in this respect is required.

Thinking about my experience makes me ill.
