Trip from HELL
Where to begin, the bus was almost two and a half hours late. The staff at the Pretoria station is super helpful (Sarcasm). It is a well-known fact amongst the people working at the station that the Greyhound bus is always late and never on time. They are truly disorganized as you ask them if you should be boarding the bus that finally came and then the answer "I am not sure" is what you get. The bus finally arrived. They proceed to through your suitcase into the luggage compartment, not even caring whether you see them or not. This was done right in front of me when they took the bags from me. Then you travel to JHB at least that bus had aircon. The drivers are rude beyond comprehension. You ask him to repeat what was said then he says Cape Town, I say yes... and he yells GET OFF. What a way to speak to clients/passengers. The bus we get on for this exceptionally long trip first of all, does not have air conditioning. The seats are so small myself and my wife sat shoulder to shoulder. They don't let you know this is a stop to pick up people or where you get to stretch your legs and use a toilet, as the one on the bus is beyond filthy. The Bus had a smell of sewage as well. The charging ports for the phones don't all work, we had to charge other people's phones by us for them. There was said there will be power point on the bus. There were none. The tray they supply can barely hold a packet of chips. The emergency exit of the bus got opened for air, which is concerning. There are roaches on the bus running over passengers. You can request a refund, but this takes between 14 and 21 working days. We heard people are struggling to get their refunds and one person got a voucher but is unable to use it currently. They Show Five stars on their bus and advertise as a luxury coach but it's very far from that. It use to be. In all honesty, I wouldn't rate these people even half a star.
