Pathetic Service

I will never recommend Greyhound/ Citiliner to anyone. I only booked them due to their reputation and brand. I went to Pretoria on 13 June 24 and returned on 16 June 24 and both trips were **********. Nothing on the bus works from TV to heater. Plus the luggage doors falls on you when you are getting your luggage as the shocks are damaged. On Sunday the bus was 1.5 hours delayed then on the journey around 1am back to Durban the bus broke down. We were stranded 16km out of Estcourt on the road in the cold. No heaters. The driver reported the incident but no help was sent not even a patrol vehicle to help us. A mechanic came in after 2 hours. The engine kept overheating. Oil spilled out the engine as well. We were stuck from 1am until 9am. It was well over 5 hours delayed back home. All we got was sms’s. It was a very traumatic experience being stranded without backup and support. The driver did his best and never left us. Management are absolutely useless with this bus operator and we are denied a refund. I am sick from the cold and traumatised by the experience of something happening like getting hijacked or killed on the highway. The bus is loud and squeaky and it was a very unpleasant and uncomfortable journey with ****roaches on the bus too. For a luxury coach liner, it’s a NO from me. Highly disappointed!!!
