My luggage was ****** and greyhound is not even willing to help
I traveled from Captown to Durban with 4 of my friends. We left CPT on Tuesday(09/08/22) due to delays we left about 2 hours late. On arriving in Durban station on Wednesday midday, my luggage was nowhere to be found. I asked the drivers to help out but they told me they were rushing somewhere else. One of the 2drivers took me to the eldo office and left. The consultant “called” greyhound and notified them about what had happened and apparently greyhound was to send messages to everyone on the bus letting them know what happened and I should call them after a day. I called no one was picking up. Sent inbox, emails. No one is bothered to reply. Finally managed to talk to someone, the guy was very rude to say the least and dropped the call on us. They keep telling me about their no refund policy but what are they as a company doing to ensure safety of our luggage. I was told that I was to safe guard my luggage but how when it’s in the trailer. Was I suppose to jump off at every stop to check if no one is jumping off with my suitcase. I’m ****ed,frustrated to say the least. The value of belongings I lost along with important documents and they are not even willing to help me in any way. Greyhound should’ve not started operating if they were not ready. Upon arrival,no one checks our luggage number, the driver opens the trailer and people point at “their” luggage and the driver gives them. How am I to safeguard my stuff with such carelessnesses on their employees.
