IF IT DOESN'T WORK, HE'LL FIX IT
My daughters were on a Greyhound bus on Sunday 05 Jul from East London to Somerset West (arriving am 06 Jul). Halfway through the trip they were informed that one of their suitcases was removed by another person getting off at on of the scheduled stops. They were also informed that it would be in Somerset West that same evening. Unfortunately after a lot of calls during the day on the 6th, the lost bag could not be traced and my daughters went on to Malmesbury where we reside. They had to leave with a lift that same day as they have no accommodation in the Helderberg area to wait for the suitcase. On 7 Jul I was able to establish that the suitcase was indeed in Cape Town and that it would be on the 17:10 bus in Somerset West. My daughters had to drive the 100km distance from Malmesbury to Somerset West to collect the suitcase. The trip back that night was another 100km. I requested a refund for the petrol, but instead Greyhound offered me the cost of the ticket back. What is more important is the actions Greyhound said they would take to take internal corrective action for the future. Well done Juan-Pierre, that's service and that is how to drive a business.
