I have had a Gupta experience with Greyhound. **** too, cheated on with no care whatsoever
I previously had a really bad experience with Greyhound. The bus my wife was on broke down and she had to be put on a different bus line with cheaper seats, and was never reimbursed for the seat change. It has been 2 years since that incident and I thought it is about time I give Greyhound a chance again. How I regret ever giving Greyhound a second chance. I called into the call center on the 19th Oct 2017 to find out if there were any premium seats available. The agent informed me that there were seats available but if I booked online I would get an online discount. I opted to rather book online, He then said he could also give me a discount, so I allowed for him to make the booking. After processing the payment of R378.00, receiving the booking confirmation and ending the call with the first agent. I felt a need to reconfirm whether a premium seat was booked. I called GREYHOUND call center again, and just as I thought, I was told by a different agent that it was not a premium seat. The second agent then transferred me back to the first agent. I then told the first agent the situation and he calmly said "NOT TO WORRY" he will rebook a premium seat for me, but I will have to pay R414.00 for a new booking and GREYHOUND will refund me for the first booking of R378.00 in 2-3 days, I had no time to complain at this point due to my busy schedule. I hesitantly proceeded with booking the premium seat again, paying the R414.00 and received my second booking confirmation. I repeatedly asked the agent if he is sure about the seating this time and was told by the agent that I have nothing to worry about. I arrive at the station and check in my Dad, just to be told by the greyhound assistant that I do not have a premium seat booked and should proceed to the ordinary seats. I asked the assistant to recheck the system and was then told that my first ordinary seat, was cancelled, and another ordinary seat was booked, but this time I had paid a premium price for the second ordinary seat. I have now spend R792.00 on GREYHOUND and have been **** too, but this was only the beginning of my Gupta experience. After seeing my Dad off, I made my way home, just to receive a call from my Dad 1 hour later informing me that the bus has broken down. Greyhound does not send a new bus but sends a mechanic to repair the bus just before an 8 hour trip. It was 1 hour 30 minutes after departure time that the bus was finally on its way, but it was not long after the bus left that it breaks down once again at a shell garage. At this point I have had more than enough and make my way to pick up my Dad. I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!
