Horrible Service
I have been a loyal Greyhound bus passenger for 13 years. Last night, 14 June 2014 I got on a Greyhound Dreamliner bus at Cape Town Station. The bus is the one that departs at 18:45 from Cape Town to Durban via Port Elizabeth.
We left on time but unfortunately the bus broke down in Storms River and we were stranded for just over 8 hours before a bus called "Williams" came to pick us up. We were again transferred to another bus in Port Elizabeth by the name of "Van Rensburg." I am currently on the "Van Rensburg" bus as I am writing this email and I can state with absolute cer*****y that the standard of this bus is extremely lower than the one of the Dreamliner. The bus does not have a toilet, the air conditioning system is poor and the seats are very small.
I can confirm that the money I have paid does not correspond with the service I am currently getting and I need to highlight the fact that I booked a premium class seat on your dreamliner. I was at least expecting a Manager or anyone in charge of your Port Elizabeth office to come and offer some apology in person for the heavy delay and poor quality of the "Van Rensburg" bus but no one came out because they were probably busy collecting money from people who might receive the disgusting service I am currently getting. Greyhound used to compensate passengers of heavily delayed busses by buying them food but that did not happen today. I can now confirm that your company does not care about its passengers and what you want is their money.
There are people who missed important appointments and if your company cared for its passengers (who pay your salaries), probably a discount on our next tickets or any other proper compensation would be an appropriate gesture. I feel extremely humiliated for being on a bus that is at a very low standard when I look at the money I paid for a premium seat on a dreamliner.
I am fully aware that this email will receive your standard email response without any care for the well being of your passengers. I also believe that I have just wasted my time by writing it. Greyhound is a seriously unprofessional company that only cares about our money and I am now beginning to regret my loyalty to your company.
