Greyhounds downfall

Greyhound used to be one of the best bus services you could find in South Africa. Unfortunately, they no longer care about their customers.

My last trip from Bloemfontein to George went from bad to worse. At first, the bus was 2 hours late picking us up from the ***** Bloemfontein bus station, with no communication from the company. The bus should have arrived at 10:15 pm but instead arrived at 12:00 pm. Secondly, right after Beaufort West, the bus picked up all the passengers from a full City To City bus that had broken down next to the side of the road. The bus was so full that people were sitting on top of each other and standing in the aisle. We spent hours with strangers sitting in half our chairs. Surely this is *******. Thirdly, to make everything worse, the bus driver did not want to turn on the aircon of the bus. It was extremely hot and the smell was unbearable. We arrived in George almost 4 hours late.

The bus system has completely gone downhill and you can't even trust the private companies anymore for safety or cleanliness. Even the seats were stained and sticky.

This is my last trip on a Greyhound bus and I hope you read this message before making the same mistake. I'd rather spend the extra money to drive myself or take an airplane.

Greyhound, you should be holding your heads in shame.

I hope that you are able to make some much needed changes or that you are at least replaced by a company that cares about its customer base.
