Greyhound POOR SERVICE, from reception to traveling with ****roaches!
Friday 18 September 2020, I took a Greyhound Dreamliner bus from Port Elizabeth to Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng.
1. The bus leaves at 5pm from PE, I called the Greyhound office in PE 15 minutes before 5pm to let them know that I am only 10 minutes away, 5pm I will be there. The receptionist insisted on asking where exactly am I. I told her I am driving past Mercantile Hospital in PE (which is 5 min away from their offices) and will be there soon enough. I got there in time, and found the bus gone already. The receptionist along with the security guard refused to let me inside the office, the receptionist told the guard to tell me the bus left, there is nothing they can do I must come back tomorrow with a 50% penalty fee. The receptionist refused in every way to speak to me or let me in so I can hear what exactly happened, nor tell me where the next stop of the bus is - the bus that had left before its time.
One of the gentlemen that witnessed the whole situation decided to intervene, and he was given the details of the next stop, which is in Grahamstown. On my way to Grahamstown the bus driver called to ask where in the Free way am I waiting for them (now I'm puzzled because they left me), the driver then said after I called the Greyhound PE office the lady at the reception told him that I said I will meet them on the freeway - hence they left before hand. Which is wrong because now I paid additional costs due to a receptionist that lacked listening skills and customer service.
2. When I got to the bus there were ****roaches parading all over in the bus. I'm sitting in a 16 hour travel bus with ****roaches moving in between the seats, on the floor and on our food. I have been a very loyal customer to the Greyhound coaches, this is absolutely unacceptable. It is POOR service! I booked a return ticket, I demand a refund, I will rather use Intercape or any other mode of transportation but Greyhound!
