Greyhound don't deliver on any front.

I am an 84 year old male who on the 18th December 2019 booked and Paid for a return ticket, number 5U6LADZ, between Midrand and Howick on the Dreamliner bus lower deck which has wider seats and offers more comfort, it also costs more. Booking was confirmed and seats for both trips allocated. Trip to Howick Seat 3C on Friday 27th December to return on Friday 3rd January 2020 Seat 6C.On the 27th a Dreamliner bus arrived at Midrand from Pretoria and I was told to go upstairs I pointed out to the driver that I had a booking for a seat downstairs and it was difficult for me to climb stairs especially the steep narrow stairs on the bus, but was told downstairs was full and I would be changing buses at Park Station. No further assistance was offered. At Park Station we were directed to a platform and stood around for over an hour before our Durban bus arrived. No seating on the platform.Trip to Howick was very pleasant.Return Trip.Cost R15.00 rand more than trip down which makes this whole story even more irritating.Bus was late but that is understandable, what was a major problem is that it was not a Dreamliner and we were told that another bus (same type) would be coming as there was not enough room on this bus. I had been allocated a seat on this bus, however the only similarity to my booking was that it was an isle seat. The trip to Montrose was extremely uncomfortable. Montrose stop was longer than we were told but this was due to passengers being late as they hadn't finished their lunch. (They should have been left behind)The real trouble started as we were climbing the hill out from Harrismith. The bus suddenly slowed to a snails pace, this continued for sometime with a few stops when the driver would go to the engine. Eventually he pulled over and one of the passengers went with him to find out what the problem was and came back to ask us for any water as we could not continue unless we had water. Most of us handed over whatever water we had and the trip continued to the next garage where the driver filled up with water. All seemed good for some distance until once again we started the slow drive. We staggered into a garage at Villiers and once again filled up with water and collected all the empty bottles and filled them with water. It was obvious that this would not be sufficient to get us to Jhb so I went and purchased 2 x 5 litre bottles of water all I could afford. (R70.30) We eventually arrived at Park station two and a half hours late. No management in sight, no apology offered and to make matters worse absolutely no response to 2 messages sent via the Greyhound web.I have been looking thru comments left on Facebook, Hellopeter and other social media and notice that this is the norm for Greyhound. When they do reply it is always to tell people to contact them via the complaints on their web. There in not one instance where they have come out in the open with the action they will take to remedy the situation. How do they justify charging a premium for a Dreamliner luxury bus and only providing a bus that comes nowhere near that standard?Greyhound obviously don't give a damn about customer satisfaction and will never be recommended by me. Greyhound CAN NOT be trusted to deliver the service they promise and WILL NOT reply to complaints so don't waste your time. USE ANOTHER BUS SERVICE. Should by some miracle, someone in Greyhound management, wish to contact me, they have all my contact details on my ticket 5U6LADZ. Robin TapsonA disappointed, disillusioned, distrustful ex-Customer.
