Disregard for traveler's safety

I travelled on a the bus from Durban to Johannesburg that departed at 11h00 am and was scheduled to arrive in Johannesburg in the early evening. I am horrified at the way that Greyhound handled communication with us regarding a tyre burst that not only could have placed us in danger but caused us to incur additional costs whilst attempting to call them to get information and get home. Greyhound was able to communicate a revised expected arrival time to us whilst we were still en-route to Johannesburg. However, upon the occurence of an incident which had the potential to cause us damage - no communication was had with us at all and still not taken place. The driver sporadically fielded questions about the issue and responded to advise that a mechanic had been called to the scene. I had to call a cab to collect me from the scene and that was approximately 2.5 hours after the actual tyre had burst.Despite all of that - the late hour and and despite no consideration having been given to the fact that our existing travel dependancies from park station onwards - Not a word of apology, explaination or concern has been received from Greyhound which is completely unacceptable!
