Booked tickets being cancelled. No refunds offered

I was book on Citiliner to travel to JHB on 25 March 2023 at 9:45. This would have been an approximately 9 hour drive to my destination in Midrand. The day before I had to leave, I received a sms to inform me that my bus has been cancelled and that I will now be on the Greyhound bus that leaves Durban at 7:15. No approximate time of arrival was given. It was a bit of a inconvenience for us, but I accepted it. Only once we started driving did I realise this bus was going via Richards Bay. We travelled some terrible roads. We were allowed off the bus only twice. Once at 10:15 and then again at 3:30. The toilet on the bus had no toiletpaper so we all rushed to the toilet at 3:30 when we could get off and I managed to buy some lunch at 3:30 in the afternoon. The trip took 15 hours. The people who were suppose to pick me up had to find someone else to pick me up as they are elderly and cannot drive that late at night. Today I received a sms to say that my trip back on the Citiliner on 2 April has been cancelled and that I will return on the Greyhound. I cannot allow my daughter to drive to Durban Station in the middle of the night, and I frankly can not do another 15 hour trip. I therefore now book tickets on a flight home . I had to pay an additional R1200 for this. Later today somebody from Greyhound phoned me to confirm that my bus has been cancelled. When I put my complaint to the man who phoned, telling him that I do not think that it is a fare way to treat customers, he slammed the phone down in my ear. What unprofessional way of handling things.
