Bad service, breakdowns and poor customer service
I was excited with the return of Greyhound and I have been a user of their services for the past 25 years and have seen it from it glory days when there were hostesses until it folding during Covid Pandemic. It was a above the rest of the other Bus Services. Wher it returned I was excited but redflags started creeping from day 1 when Ibhad to take the bus from outside of Park Station and the bus was dirty just arriving from another route Although the trip went well after they let us wait at 22H00 hrs while they were sweeping the bust the Dreamliner nogal. Then on my return I booked a Dreamliner but a Citiliner was dispatched which has a price and comfort differential. Upon leaving Durban Station we raise a concern with the Driver that the bus is not roadworthy, but the driver told us that the bus is not warm enough as soon as it is heated up it will pick up power, to cut matters short it had to stop at Spaghetti Junction (EB Cloete Junction around 22h30 in the small island next to the exit to N2, then another Citiliner was dispatched and the journey continued. When I querried a part refund for price difference between GREYHOUNF luxury and Citiliner Price they said the service was fulfilled therefore no refund. I decided to keep quet and withdraw felrom the service and I later learned that it was bought by Eldos which ad a bad rep for being late departures, unroadworthy busses and treating their customers badly as I had taken it as the last resort before. Then I was not surprised and to learn about an engine bursting and engulfed in flames of the Greyhound bus from the route that I used gave confirmation if my decision to stay away from as they remind me of Roadlink Bus Service which I had never used throughout its short life and even its re-incarnation - I can provide e-mails and evidence of my experiences
