Absolutely disgusted!!

I travele between hoedspruit and Johannesburg fairly regularly and recently discovered that cityliner have a route too which was a nice surprise because the carrier i had been using seemed to have less quality and comfort than cityliner. So i booked and paid for my return journey with cityliner for the 28th of November. I was however unable to get to park station in time due to a traffic jam so i called and after a bit of back and forth the ticket was changed to the following day.

I arrived the following morning with ample time to spare and collected the new ticket from the booking office. From there on my life would only get worse. I go to the gate with my ticket in hand and I am asked by a gentleman in a cityliner uniform where i am heading to and i tell him "Hoedspruit " and I am pointed in the direction of a cityliner bus. So i head off towards it and I'm quite excited about my first journey on what in my mind is a better carrier. I am then asked by a gentleman in a cityliner uniform where i am going to which i reply "hoedspruit " at which point he gestures towards a ground of people gathering on island across the way so i head over and wait patiently. At 8am i am still waiting for the bus which according to my ticket is supposed to depart at 8 but knowing that the Joburg can be brutal i didn't panic. .......... That happened when the bus that i thought was for hoedspruit turned out to be the bus for Maputo and the bus for hoedspruit had already left......... at 8am........

So i immediately think that if i can get to Pretoria on the gautrain i can still catch the bus...... i didn't report it to the office but i phoned the reservations center and explained what happened to the lady that answed and told her of my intention of taking the gautrain to Pretoria and if at all possible could the driver wait a bit but within an acceptable time frame. Unfortunately i arrived in Pretoria 10min after the bus had departed.

Obviously not very impressed with the events that had unfolded i then go into the ciryliner office and explain to a gentleman who I'm guessing was a supervisor and who had also been given the information that I was on my way. After then explaining what happened AGAIN i am informed that I am unable to change the date on my ticket to the coming Saturday after their staff never once checked my ticket and then directed me to the wrong platform. I was then informed that my only option is to be back at park station the following morning with my ticket and they will put me on standby. So this morning once again i arrived with ample time. I then make sure that the staff at check in know I'm there and I was told that the bus is fully booked but we might get lucky.

Needless to say the bus arrived and departed but yet again without me onboard. I am then told that my ticket is no longer valid and that there is nothing more they can do. I must but another ticket.

I am deeply and inexplicably disgusted.
