Worst dry cleaner ever

Green valley laundry dry cleaning offered the worst possible service I have ever experienced.

About 2 weeks ago I took a coat to them for dry cleaning ( following the instructions on the label of the coat) the label said "professional dry cleaning only" so I took it to the laundry in green valley centre. Big mistake I made for thinking they are professional dry cleaners.

I received the jacket back and when I looked the jacket was so badly damaged. It looks like the material has been cut or scratched.

When talking to the manager ( the daughter I assume) she was pretending to be friendly and said she will investigate the matter and sent it back to the factory.

For a few days I have not heard anything from them and decided to go in. That is when I met the "delightful" mother.

She came up with one excuse after the next. Blaming everything and everyone under the sun. Not taking any responsibility for the damages. She raised her voice to me, so much that some of the workers came from the back to look. She asked me how much the jacket was. I informed her that the jacket was purchased overseas and I cannot replace it. She gave me a look insinuating that I don't look like I bought anything overseas.

She then chased me out of the store. My partner went in to talk to her, that is when she mentioned that there has been a lot of items damaged in their factory the last few weeks. Surely as a manager you would investigate this or hold all services until the problem is resolved.

The jacket is worth +- R3000 they offered me R1000 compensation. They told me to come and collect it after 4 pm. When we got there the jacket was still not back. They then told me to come back the next morning and surprise surprise... still no jacket. Again they blamed everyone else. Eventually today the jacket was there but I had to choose between receiving the money ( which means NOTHING cause the jacket is irreplaceable) or get the jacket back. They refused to give back both.

The way they spoke to us, the service they provided, the service recovery ( or lack there of) was shocking.

I highly recommend that no one use them because clearly they have no pride in what they do and have no shame in destroying other people's possessions and then shifting the blame.
