Rude behaviour - an acknowledged
Sunday, 7 Feb we stopped at Greens Constantia for lunch. Waiter said no tables available, and then pointed to a table and said they had just finished paying and are leaving shortly. We said we'd wait, they left 3 mins after & we went to the table. As we were about to sit down, I'm not sure whether this man was a manager, comes up to us and says, this table is not available. We said we had just spoken to the waiter & we waited until the patrons had left. He rep**** he didn't care what the waiter had told us but we can't sit at that table as he had it reserved & the waiter should have spoken to him first. Now this was not done politely, it was done loudly and rudely in front of all the other patrons seated in the outside area. He proceeded to walk to the waiter & give him a mouthful. We left Greens, I decided to go back and address this man's appalling behaviour, I thought it was totally uncalled for & rude. I told him that I thought he was very rude with his approach, to which he rep**** ''I know it was rude''. Is this fine for someone in the hospitality industry. A simple, I'm sorry for the mix up would have sufficed, but instead we got humiliated, shouted at and belittled.
