Greenic - Weighted *** Plush

Greenic is an on-line retail company. I ordered a soft toy which was delivered a few weeks after the order was placed. The item I received did not bear even a passing resemblance to that advertised, in addition, the item received had an internal sound device which did not work. I sent photographs of the item ordered and that received along with a complaint to the company. The reply I received gave the usual platitudes about commitment to quality and service and as a gesture of goodwill the offer of a 40% refund, i.e. I paid 60% of the cost for broken, wrong item. The company website (higreenic,com) indicates that "all sales are final", in the event of a damaged item a replacement rather than a refund will be provided. In spite of this, I was offered a 40% refund "as a gesture of goodwill"; but no replacement. The company policy regarding incorrect items appears to be one along the lines of "if you order a soft toy and a soft toy is delivered (irrespective of the appearance of the toy) then they have completed their side of the bargain. This is explained in their website where an example is provided, ie. "you ordered a dress, but received shoes". If it was possible to give less than one star I would have done so.
