Dishonest!

Incredibly dishonest. I visited the doctor on 18 July, received a prescription. When my prescription finished, (almost a month later) I called and asked about a referral to a dermatologist. Was told I would need to come in because it’s been a month. I explained that I do not need a consult and since I had been treated by the doctor was simply requesting a letter. The receptionist said the doctor would still like me to come in. I asked if I’m going to be charged for this as I only need a referral letter and do not want to be treated. The receptionist said she would call back. She called back within minutes and said there would be no charge as it’s a follow up. I went in a couple of days later, doctor didn’t even touch me, write a referral and sent me on my way. A few days later I find that they have billed me. I called to ask about this as I had explicitly called before I went in to avoid this.the receptionist tells me there’s nothing she can say because it’s been a month since the last consult, despite that it had been a month when I called to ask about this. I find this incredibly dishonest as had they told me I would be charged, I would have just gone to a different doctor for a 2nd opinion. Run very far.
