Awful! Just awful!

<div>During beginning May 2021 I decided upon this company to install a residential solar system (valued in excess of R200 000), because they were the cheapest. I should have known better than to go with cheap. *** (installer) came to finalize the design and installation. *** (sales person) promised me the installation will be started and completed the same day. Stupid me, believed a solar system of this magnitude could be installed in a single day. I paid the R140 000 deposit, and the installation started. *** struggled to get the Victron components to work, and he admitted only then that he was not fami**** with Victron systems (in site of wearing a blue shirt with Victron logos all over it), but that he was studying the Victron Professional modules on their website every evening when he leaves my site and he will soon earn his green card. Three weeks later the struggled continued. The first Inverter was apparently blown, because the red and black wires were connected the wrong way round. They had to replace the inverter at their cost. I remained patient and polite, as they unfortunately had R140 000 deposit and I knew there was no way I would get my money back if I aborted their installation. Still struggling and taking up huge amounts of my professional time, out of desperation I enlisted a qualified Electrical Engineer to assist *** with the installation and they had some telephonic discussions . When the owner of the shop (***) heard that someone else is overseeing their installation, he was rude (he referred to the qualified Electrical Engineer as *********** and a wannabe without even knowing this professionally qualified person!) and threatened that my warranties will not be honored. Eventually **** got the system up and running with the help of the Engineer. **** belatedly post-facto sent me a document about "warrentee" being nullified if anyone else has access to the remote controls of the system. Many faults appeared, least of all that my mains kept tripping. But I kept quiet and patient as they had my money. A golf ball damaged one of my panels, and I paid them another deposit to replace it. They simply dumped the panel at my house and never returned to install it. Many calls and whatsapp messages later, they now simply ignore me. I have paid around R240 000 for a solar system that gives me about 10KWh per day, hardly enough to keep the battery charged. It will take more than 25 years to recover my investment! And I will be forced to use legal remedies to enforce the equipment manufacturers warranties, should the equipment fail. Hence this review. PS: With the very much expected continued insults and threats hurtled at me by the owner. He questions whether I bought my medical doctor's degree, as I bi&amp;%*ch like a nurse. Nothing more for me to do than block them from contacting me to stop the personal abuse.&nbsp;</div>
