stay away

These guys installed a borehole system at our complex and it was disastrous from the start. Totally wrong design, way overkill on every level. they fitted a three phase pump, that was trying to pump the water through multiple sets of filters, resulting in an unbearable noise. Then they convinced us that we need to build sound proofing over everything that just didn't work. After a year of battling and ongoing breakdowns, continuously being charged for repairs too, we just couldn't carry on. we were sitting at over R150 000 paid for a system that doesn't work. We even paid an independent expert to analyze the system and he confirmed that it is totally wrong. The Green Overall guys just turn their backs on us and refuse any to take any responsibility. They *****ed us good and properly. Stay far away. We have been through a nightmare with these shameless people..

As Certified Plumbers and expertise in chemical filtration and design, and with more than 24 years of experience, the system was designed in line with the South African National Standard 10252 - Water Supply and Drainage for Buildings, to ensure proper flow and pressure to all the units at The Dene.

Green Overall have on record messages and voice notes of Body Corporate members, confirming that the pump is not making excessive noise and is working just fine.

We are yet to learn who the so-called expert is who advised on the system, and what qualifies him/her to be considered an expert.

Green Overall suggested a monthly maintenance contract on the system, as at some stage the system was not up kept by the Body Corporate. This was not considered, and Green Overall was refused access to the system.

Apart from our willingness to address all issues and suggestion to maintain the system, we are of the believe that the Body Corporate had other remedies also to their disposal to address their concerns. This includes the warrantee on the pump set, components and fittings, as well as the Consumer Protection Act. Unfortunately, they decided to incur extra cost by employing a third party that re-installed the whole system at a cost that now needs to be covered by the homeowners themselves in the form of a special levy.

We suggested, and would welcome, if the Body Corporate can refer this matter for legal arbitration and not to defend their poor decisions by defamation.
