Biggest Con-artists

I purchased a vehicle from the dealership and was promised a problem free vehicle with no serious accidents, no mechanical problems and a full service history. 2 weeks after purchase, the vehicle started giving oil problems. i made them aware of it and they ignored the issue. 6 weeks after purchase, the gearbox packed up. upon doing some homework on the history in the vehicle i found that they had **** about the true condition of the vehicle and the vehicle has had previous issues on the gearbox which was never disclosed to me as well as was in an accident. upon contacting them they maintain they sold me a perfect vehicle and accept no responsibility. the gearbox is going to cost R36 000 to repair, to which i plan to take them to court for. i would highly recommend not buying from this dealership or believing any of their 'sales talk'

A bigger collection of outrageously untrue claims in one paragraph I have never seen before. It astounds me the the depths to which some people will go to make someone else pay! I have been corresponding with this client for some time, first in person, and then via his "lawyer", both of whom have made it their business to make a string of false allegations. The facts are as follows :
He notified us of the oil leak, but he never brought the car in, and it was assumed that he had resolved it. His admission that he did nothing speaks of blatant negligence.
The failure occurred longer than 6 weeks after purchase, but it no doubt suits his agenda to present the facts differently.
I/we never told the client he was buying a perfect car. This would be the most absurd way of describing a 10 year old vehicle. On the contrary, he was warned about the risks of a vehicle of this age, and strongly advised to take a mechanical warranty which he declined. Documents relating to the risks were signed by the client, and are available to view. It is unfortunate that his limited budget did not correspond with his lofty expectations.
No statement was ever made regarding the accident history. Again it would be absurd to make statements about a vehicle whose past is unknown to us.
He was never told that the vehicle had a full agent history. Why would one do this, when the service book was available to him prior to purchase.
This dealership was unaware of any previous gearbox issues, had not been informed about any by the previous owner, and there were NO problems at the time of purchase !!
Lastly, and most tellingly, he has throughout this work of fiction, failed to mention that he asked to have the vehicle inspected by his OWN MECHANIC, PRIOR TO PURCHASE, a request that was willingly agreed to by myself. His OWN MECHANIC advised him to proceed with the purchase.
If this man had approached me in a reasonable , honest, way, without all the false allegations, he would have encountered a much more accommodating response, where I would have given serious consideration to assisting him. This business prides itself on fairness and reasonableness, and above all honesty. This sale was concluded in a completely honest and transparent way, and he obviously is within his rights to follow any legal course of action to prove otherwise

I have come to your dealership when the incident occurred to inquire on the way forward as i expected as a reasonable man that you claim to be, the dealership will assist given that the vehicle had several issues immediately after purchase. Your response to me was that the dealership will not carry any responsibility or offer any assistance. The problem on the gearbox was established at the time of the last service prior to me purchasing the vehicle, which was verified by the autoshop which conducted the service. If you pride yourself on fair practice, fairness, reasonableness and honesty, why has the dealership not offered to assist me in anyway? Based on the treatment I have received from you, I have been forced to go the legal route, at extra expense, in order to try and resolve the matter. However, I am always available should you as a reasonable man wish to come to terms in which we can both resolve the matter to the satisfaction of both you and I. You have my contact details.
