Green Door Guesthouse

The Green Door Guesthouse and Conference Venue. Definately "Your home away from home", with 25 years of proven excellence in service. Rooms are cleaned daily, breakfasts are delicious and prepared while you have your choice of a cereal, yogurt and a juice. Dinner can be arranged with management and is set up with an intimate atmosphere, candle light included. Great portions of South African cuisines and all foreign guests are introduced to biltong, rusks and some very South African and local produce. A must stay in Piet Retief(Mkhondo) if you are driving through or want to spend a couple of nights. The guesthouse is frequented by oreigner's and locals, the gardens are beautifully maintained with green grass and cobble paths to your rooms. Rooms are spacious with an en suite bathroom with comfortable double beds. All staff and management are friendly and ready to assist with any query. Even assistance to motorists were given at a very late hour on a Sunday night after their car broke down, with a quick phone call over breakfast the car was taken to a local dealer for repairs and customers brought back to relax untill the car was up and running again. All these personal touches does make it home away from home. This was the first guesthouse in Piet Retief and definitely still the best and a must stay!
