Quality has significantly deteriorated.

I have been wearing Green Cross shoes for work for over 15 years and they always lasted a long time. In 2020 I bought a pair and within 4 weeks the sole had split completely in half. They did replace the shoes for me and within 3 months the new pair spit in exactly the same way - bearing in mind that I was hardly going to the office because of CV19, so in that time I had only worn them a couple of times. They cost me R800. I asked a cobber the other day and he said I might as well throw them away. They cannot be fixed and I am just not prepared to go jump through Green Crosses hoops again just to get another defective pair. Guess that is the end of Green Cross for me.
