Not happy with after service

I have purchased quite a few pairs of shoes over the past two years from Green Cross Port Elizabeth due to health reasons. And was very happy with the previous purchases as the shoes are comfortable and give the necessary support where needed.

In December 2017 I purchased 3 pairs of shoes. Two pairs was for my holiday period and the third pair (Style 51813) for work etc. Transaction: ********** 242260 Invoice ********** 660

I have worn the pair of shoes for the first time when I was back at work again. I alter my shoes on a daily basis, from flat to heels.

The specific pair that I have bought I have worn and was only able to wear it for a day. The bottom of my feet was burning the whole time I had it on. I have returned the shoes to Green Cross Port Elizabeth and explained to them that I cannot wear the shoes, due to it burning the bottom of my feet.

They have taken the pair of shoes and informed me that they will send it to Head Office to have it checked.

Green Cross Port Elizabeth called me to inform me that their is nothing wrong with the shoes and that they are not going to refund / exchange it.

This is not acceptable. What must I do with a pair of shoes that I cannot wear due to them burning the bottom of my feet. I do not mind paying expensively for my shoes, but then I must have the opportunity to wear them as often as I can without having them burning my feet.

I have then send an e-mail to Green Cross to take the matter further.

I have received a call from Melissa confirming receipt my complaint regarding the sandal that I have purchased and informed that it was escalated.

Received a second call to inform me that there is nothing wrong with the sandal and that they are not going to allow me to return the sandals or refund me.

As I have mentioned previously, I have purchased quite a few pairs of shoes, (winter and summer: 8 pairs in total) and all the shoes are perfect accept this specific sandal. It is definitely burning my feet and I am not happy to hear that after spending such a big amount on my shoes that I cannot return them when they are not bearable to wear. After all, they are suppose to be comfortable shoes with a bit of support.

Dear Anna

Thank you for your comments.

We respectfully refer you to our T's & C's on both your till slip and our website where the matter of returns is clearly communicated.

Since no manufacturing fault is evident in the shoes as reported by our footwear technologist and the fact that you have worn the shoes we regret we are unfortunately unable to sanction a refund or exchange.

Kind regards

Dear Tric It is with great regret to hear that Green Cross does not want to accommodate me, although the shoes was in my cupboard for a while before I worn it. And it was only during the first and only time I have worn it that I experienced the burning in feet. There must be something in the material as it had an effect on my feet after I had it on. Although I receive a lot of compliment when I am wearing my Green Cross shoes, I will definitely not support Green Cross anymore.
