Terrible business experience

Worked alongside the owner for seven months. Had a terrible experience where I was promised a salary after working, training and growing his business for him and nothing ever materialized. Worked at my own expense and still feel manipulated and used by the owner. Do not trust his promises as I still have not received a single cent even after promises of incentives. Ive recently recieved a call from him telling me he had bagged a deal for a lot of money, but he can't pay me for the work I've done for him. Do yourself a favor and do not do business with this company.
