Birthday ruined😭

Drove 420+km’s from Kempton park with my friend on the 5th of july 2023 for his birthday, only to arrive at the gate at 14:54 and be told by the security guards that they are closed due to protest. Checked the site in the morning to find out whether they were open and according to their site they were open. The site did not mention anything about a protest even when i was by the gate. Lets just say my friends birthday experience was drowned by that, needless to mention the 800+km’s 😭😭. Wouldve appreciated the site to be updated to inform visitors of such inconveniences
