INHOSPITABLE TREATMENT AT QUARTERDECK RESTAURANT AT GRAND WEST CASINO

On 27 September 2023, I took 2 friends to the Quarter Deck restaurant for the Sassy Senior meal which is advertised to run from 17:00 to 18:30 on Wednesdays. We are all septuagenarians and timed our meal so that we could dish our dessert at 18:15. The chef on duty however, stationed himself at the entrance to the dishing area and cordoned off access to the dishing area. I pointed out to him that it was still only 18:15 and the meal is supposed to be available till 18:30. He refused to budge. I then asked to speak to the restaurant manager. The restaurant manager asked me to show where it stated that the meal was available till 18:30. He clearly did not know his restaurant policy. Later that evening I registered my grievance in an email sent directly to the Grand West manager, Mr. Naidoo. To date there has been no response, or at least the courtesy of acknowledgement of my email. I believe that the conduct of the chef of the Sassy evening meal, as well as the restaurant manager, in addition to Mr. Naidoo, show scant regard for clients who patronise their establishment - needless to say this is the absolute antithesis of hospitality.
