DO not trust Grand Central Motors - Disappointing ****** Goods
My Mercedes went in to have its brakes done the end of November 2020, Friday 27th. Upon arrival from a long drive, my valuable new Apple Airpods Pro, were put away in the middle closed compartment under papers in this closed cubbyhole, out of sight, out of touch ( I thought) from anyone. This middle compartment shouldn't be gone through at all there is no need. Upon collecting my car, the middle closed compartment was in a mess, all documents had been gone through, ID book was on top (was in the side slot) etc. and my Airpods were missing, ****** and my stuff had been gone through! Who does this? I called my service manager Sasha immediately who said he would look into it. I never heard back from him, shameful. I was also over quoted for brakes, which I needed to get rectified, but that's not my complaint here as I queried and sorted that out (R9300 quote reduce to R3300! you figure!). The service call center called me 3 days later to check how my experience was. I obviously let them know my concerns. I was told the Dealer Principle will get back to me. 3 days later I received and email from the service manager Eric with a very mechanical response, obviously scripted, none caring message stating I was sms'ed (?never received these?anyway) and I signed an indemnity form, so who really cares was his approach, its not their fault! I am aware of the indemnity form and never deputed this, but why did you go into closed compartments not needed to go into at all, to ***** items? Obviously not enough was done to prevent theft from happening from Mercedes side as my AirPods were ******, and disappointingly from a closed middle compartment that shouldn't have been accessed never mind gone through, the versed response have no justification to what happened, my goods were ****** from a closed compartment, not from an open cubbyhole? I paid for a premium car and expect premium trustworthy ethical service. I responded my disappointment but heard nothing back, as though I would go away, the message was clear 'we don't care'. The response I got indicates that Mercedes / Grand Central certainly don't care that things get ****** out of cars closed middle compartments, where staff shouldn't go into. Your response really shows this must be the normal at Grand Central and shows the character of your business ethics, which is great to know about, as now I now where not to come to. I am extremely disappointed in Mercedes, in their choice of partner in Grand Central, this incident will definitely make me rethink when I buy my next car, where I take my car, and it won't be Grand Central. Disappointed.
