My experience at Granada was extremely disappointing. When we arrived, there was no running water at the property. A few bottles of water had been left there and we were told to use the bottled water to flush the toilets, which is completely unacceptable for paid accommodation. It was clear that management knew about the water issue beforehand (since the bottles were already provided), yet there was no transparency or warning before arrival, and no opportunity for guests to decide whether they still wanted to stay under those conditions. There was also no clear indication of when the water would be restored. Communication was poor. I had to make several phone calls trying to get clarity and was simply sent a message telling me to wait, with no real assistance offered. The weather was extremely bad, and I eventually had to leave to avoid being caught in the storm. I live 2½ hours away, so this caused significant inconvenience. I was only partially refunded, which felt unfair considering we could not use basic facilities. The response from management was also dismissive — I was told that not having water is “normal in South Africa” and that guests should expect it. In addition, the adverti*****t mentions WiFi, but after booking you are informed that WiFi is not available from 6pm to 11pm, which are peak hours when most guests would actually need it. If basic services like water and WiFi are limited, guests should be clearly informed beforehand, especially when the listing also boasts amenities like a jacuzzi, which obviously requires water. Overall, the lack of transparency, poor communication, and unwillingness to resolve the issue properly made this a very frustrating experience. Unfortunately, I found the management very unhelpful and would not recommend staying here.
