!!GP MOTOR WORKS DESERVES TO GO INSOLVENT!!

Looooong Story..

I went to GP Motor Works after having major issues with my 330D BMW, I had been referred by my fitment agent. I was told that GP Motor works was a BMW specialist and that there was no better company(person) to help me. So my car goes for testing at R820 Incl Vat, Basic Diagnostic. I am then told that my footwell module was shot, with my alternator and my junction box needed to be inspected before anything. They then followed trough to tell me that inspecting the junction box alone would take 2 hours at a cost of R1640 Incl. They Priced the footwell at R3500 which is the going rate. I tried to question as to why all of these things can be wrong with regards to a simple incident i had in the storm this past Thursday. I was constantly getting an indirect answer. I then realized that i was being taken for a run for my money and that they themselves were clueless about my BMW. I then called Andrew from Auto Technique that assisted me sometime back with removing petrol from my diesel tank. He requested that i brought the car to him and let it spend the night. He had a BMW specialist that writes the program for the computer boxes and stuff to come to his office and look at the module. He highly believed it was still in working condition (calls it a die-hard board). I spoke to Andrew about removing my Juntion box as well, he says its a 30min job...not 2 hours and that unless he found a problem with it he would not charge me if he was wrong about it( he simply didn't feel it was fair on me)...To cut the story short. Andrew took such attention to detail by going through my car and found a simple fault on the mother board of the fuse box. Cost me R 900 and my car is as good as new. Instead of having been charged to replace everything and still not knowing what to fix. I Highly Recommend that you avoid using GP Motor Works at all costs for 2 simple reasons. 1. They have not a clue what they are doing(BMW Specialist My A**!!) 2. They will cost you unnecessary Rands on purpose because they want to NAIL YOU for EVERYTHING you have. The money i spent on a basic diagnostic could have been used to fix my car.My Diagnostic by Auto Technique was charged at R350 for 2 diagnostics before repair and after. Not to be told that my car will cost me an additional R7000 because they dont know what they are doing. I Highly Recommend Auto Technique for BMW's Only, One mechanic that has your best interest, Will not lie to you and I believe knows more about your BMW than any so called BMW Specialist or Sh*t Head like the *********** staff at GP Motor Works that want to **** you for everything you have and most probably ***** your car up even further. BEWARE FOR GP MOTOR WORKS.
