A mixed bag
Govchain has been a mixed bag for me. In terms of quickly registering a business, they were great. Super efficient and made you believe, if only briefly, that we lived in a country that was technologically competent. Good start.
The wheels promptly fell off when using the tax return and SARS registered representative services. These were paid for in September 2021 and only the SARS registered representative has been resolved (on the 24th of Feb). This was only resolved after I pushed from my side about the outstanding services.
Sadly, Govchain thought it better to blame SARS (an easy target) for the delays and imp**** that I was at fault for not being aware of the process and potential hiccups. Now, arrogance is a quality seldom met with great appreciation, but even less so when it's coupled with incompetence.
In a twisted turn of events, SARS were super efficient and prompt in resolving the issue.
In summary, go ahead and use Govchain to register a new business... and then get as far away from their services as possible.
If you are incapable of reliably delivering a service, it's best to stop offering it to customers.

Be better in future and own up when you make mistakes. People are generally quite accommodating and willing to overlook issues when you aren't 💩..
