Worst weekend EVER!!!

So the weekend of 18-20 August, we went to Goudini Spa, the Saturday night my sister's family's chalet got broken into, whilst they were visiting our chalet. The place was locked and everything but the big window (which did not have burglar bars) got smashed in ad they stole most of their items but funny enough, none of Goudini's stuff. The goods ****** amounted to about R 12 000 which included a brand new cell phone (only 2 months into contract which still needs to be paid) and both my niece and naphews' bags with all their clothes. Saddest part was that it was my niece's birthday that Sunday but it was ruined as she didn't even have clothes to wear.

We thought that Goudini would at least take responsibility for their weak security standards by reimbursing us but clearly they, along with their insurance company (Santam) don't care at about their clients at all.

Another family's unit also got broken into the same night and when we spoke to Goudini's staff, they confirmed that this is a regular occurrence yet they do absolutely nothing about it and don't even ensure that they have adequate insurance to cover their clients' losses.

Our whole weekend was ruined, totaling a loss of more than R 20 000. What was supposed to be a relaxing weekend, turned out to be a nightmare and caused more unnecessary stress but like I said, Goudini could care less! Even after the weekend, my sister was dealing with their insurance, Santam had so many request from her (affidavits, quotations, etc.) causing her to take time off from work to sort all these things out, running around, only for them to later say that Goudini is not liable for the loss as they have 'above average security'... which is 2 security guards walking around a big resort (not sure how well they can protect the whole resort) and no burglar bars on the big windows of chalets which get regularly broken into... Sounds very assuring hey???

Our families and extended families have been going to Goudini for many years but they will definitely not see us again!!!

I'm totally disgusted with Goudini, ATKV and even Santam!
