Find Another Shuttle Service, Don’t Use This One.

GoTours / GoShuttles Stellenbosch is a tour operator / shuttle service that operates in the Stellenbosch area. I had used them before, but my recent experience with them was so poor that I can only come to one conclusion: one should absolutely stay well clear of using this company.

I and my friends Chartered a shuttle for the evening at a cost of over R2,000 (which is no small fee for students) as we needed transport organised to get to a dance. Our initial pickup was scheduled for 17:30 and there was absolutely no sign of the driver. After phoning and phoning and SMSing, I received absolutely no response until 18:11 from the driver (whose name I did not know, nor his vehicle registration number, nor his vehicle type or colour) saying “I’ve been here since 17:30, where are you?”

Subsequent to that, the remaining trips we completed that evening weren’t even provided by the company I had made payment to and were outsourced to another company. The second company was fine and I wish I had booked with them from the beginning.

Following up, I contacted the person who I had been in communication with with respect to the booking and provided him with sufficient evidence as to how this was entirely his fault and how I absolutely deserved a refund for the first trip as well as a reimbur*****t for the alternative transport I was forced to take to get to where I needed to go.

I would stay well clear of this organisation. It seems like there is no due care taken to look after customers who have already paid in advance. All I wanted was a refund for a trip that I was never afforded, I don’t think that is too much to ask.

TL;DR : Stay Away from GoTours / GoShuttles Stellenbosch.
