WARNING: Do not book your flights through GoToGate

We have recently book a returned flight from Johannesburg to Ndola through an online website “GoToGate”. A simple mistake was made with the passenger’s surname, we requested this to simply be altered (he has a double barrel surname and the lady that booked this ticket was not aware, therefore she simply put the first listed surname. This error was discovered by the employee that the ticket was registered to one month before the trip was to commence. Upon the discovery of this error a phone call was made immediately to GoToGate for them to add the additional surname, as it was feared he would be unable to board. Upon request I was told that the ticket was ‘non-refundable’ and therefore they could not assist me with any changes, instructing me to then book and pay for an entirely new ticket. The cost of single ticket is R8816.68, as you can imagine this was a huge shock to me as I would now either be out of pocket R8816.68 and have an unusable flight ticket, or spend a further R8816.68 for an entirely new ticket, purely because a single name was left off the ticket information. The GoToGate company refused to assist me in any way and the service was so unbelievably poor that I can assure you with the utmost confidence that I will NEVER use their services again. Please advise the following story before using their services. This is not a reputable company and I wish that I had known what I know now before ever coming in to contact with them.
