Avoid Gotogate "like the plague"!!

My wife and I were booked on flight BA2689 from Genoa to UK on 1st June 2020. This flight was cancelled by BA on the 5th May and I contacted BA direct on 25th May requesting a refund. BA processed the refund over the phone and advised that the credit would appear on Gotogate’s account and that they would reimburse us accordingly. As I hadn't received any communication or credit from Gotogate, I checked back with BA on 7th July and they confirmed the monies had been credited to Gotogate’s account at the end of May 2020! I have been chasing Gotogate for our credit for over 10 months but I am not making any progress whatsoever. Gotogate are one of the worst companies I have ever had the displeasure to deal with and I would recommend people avoid them "like the plague"!
