AVOID AVOID AVOID Gotogate!!!! They are not a South African Company!!!

<p>Good day,</p> <p> </p> <p>I booked a flight through Cheapflights, Gotogate for the 2nd September 2016. Today, due to a family emergency, my husband informs me that he cannot come back to South Africa tomorrow as per the ticket booking. I called Kenya Airways Johannesburg office to reschedule for the 30th of November 2016. The agent confirmed a charge of R550 excluding a service fee but I was informed that I have to contact Gotogate directly as the issuing agent to re-issue the ticket.</p> <p> </p> <p>When I called Gotogate, they gave me a price R4550 to re-issue the ticket. This is ****************. It is cheaper if not the same price to book a return flight to Lagos with Kenya Airways but what’s more shocking is that Kenya airways is not willing to bypass the 3rd party and reissue the ticket for my husband to travel back end of November. This means tomorrow my husband will be deemed a no show and forfeit all costs even though we tried to reschedule the ticket.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have personally used Kenya Airways about 3 times now and was considering booking our December tickets to Nigeria with them again but after what I have experienced this morning I would honestly rather suffer the 6 hours with Arik Air than to book with Kenya Airways because you’re comfortable with Gotogate robbing me and my family of our hard-earned money. To me if you’re able to see all my husband’s details on your system, why are you not willing to help?</p> <p> </p> <p>Their website is a .co.za website with a local 031 that is re-routed to a call centre in India so please note that youre not dealing with South African Company</p> <p> </p>
