'Best before' means nothing at Gorima's

I have bought two packets of macadamia nuts at Gorima's. They were a good price. Unfortunately, when I wanted to use them in baking, I found them to be rancid. I took them back to the store, as they were within best before date and was told that the store has a 7 day exchange policy and the best before date is meaningless. I was disappointed and had the feeling that the retail manager phoned by the store manager knew that they sell substandard macadamias and therefore would not entertain any complaints.
