Google Play Gift Card

I accidently scratched off the Google Play Gift card codes to hard and cant use the code to redeem the amount purchased. After numerous emails , phone calls and and and. They cannot simply just transfer the amount on my account. Now I have to purchase something again before they can do it. First they couldnt do it at all and now they can but this. This is redicilous !!! Very very bad service.
