Richards Bay Golden Homes - placed a tenant in my unit -DID NOT a take deposit but assured me paperwork was in order - I assumed a deposit and rent was paid - then I included a service fee for cleaning at R800 pm without the tenant knowing In order to inflate the rental. In other words there was no cleaning agent. - sent me an email saying “ Don’t worry you will see the rent is R8500 but you are getting the R7000 you wanted” because I included R800 cleaning fee and also my R700 commission - this is actually shocking because when I contacted the tenant they simply thought the rental was R8500 and no cleaning fee was declared which they would have declined Secondly, I was not aware no deposit was paid and did not agree to have my fully furnished place to be let out without a deposit to secure which the agent led me to believe was paid across.
