Developer refuse to fix rising damp reported within 6months of occupying a new develoment
I occupied a new (used as show room prior to occupation but sold as new) unit in C***** Forest in Rynefield (Benoni) March 2025. A rising damp in both bedrooms was reported to the developer and body corporate since it is the same company in September 2025 via phone calls and emails. the developer and corporate has failed to come inspect the unit as previously arranged or reply to any my emails. The unit is becoming inhabittable because of unbearable smell from the damp, we are unable to close clese windows and with the colder season. Feedback from the developer was the matter was reported after 30 days of signing the snaglist and therefore they are not responsible for fixing the damp which for me is against the NHRBC rules. kindly intervene
