Goldair 40cm wall mounted remote fan

Bought a wall mounted remote 40cm fan 13 months ago. Swing function faulty and operation mode haywire. Surely consumers need to be protected from these mega businesses making goods which barely last past warranty period. This is my second and last goldair product, the first one failed while stoll under warranty but because I lost the slip the retailer would not take it back for repair
