How does one become a member but never paid joining or membership fee

In October 2023 a friend invited me to come for a presentation at Gogo getaways, the lady that was assisting said we can try their service if we don't like what they offer we can cancel at any time. On the 14 of November 2023, I wrote an email to cancel the service and never gotten a respond. I have never paid a membership fee, but they have deducted R565 on my account after I have sent the cancellation email, the lady that was assisting us told me she on leave later didn't respond to my calls. The same friend who invited me to the presentation is always having issues with the company
