Complaint regarding membership cancellation

I have been trying to get my membership cancelled for over a week now the lady keeps asking me the same question now she's all quiet, I have tried several times to email them as they advised a membership can only be cancelled in writing but it's been a week without a response from them. The lady even said to me I can reverse the amount they debited from my account yet she knows full well its impossible
