I also had the same dissatisfactory service from Silungise Lamba (GMTek) who came to my work place a couple of weeks ago to repair my phone (Samsung J6). I was with him and another gentleman he came along with when he attempted to repair my phone. He later then said he would need sometime with my phone as "the screen was not sitting properly" and that he will bring my phone later before I knock off. Because I felt I could trust him, I let him leave with my phone. He came back at around 5 with my phone "fixed". I was not happy with the quality of the phone screen as it was lifting and now it is completely blank.

I try contact him to no avail. His phone would ring and no body would answer. I would send him messages on WhatsApp and via SMS which were also ignored.

I tried calling with a colleague's phone to which he answered and upon hearing that it was me he promised me a refund and said I should e-mail my banking details. It's been over 4 weeks now and I'm still waiting. I still have not received my refund.

Silungisile has since blocked my number.

A SIMPLE FOLLOW UP would have been nice!! I paid him cash and now I have had to wait for a refund to be transferred (which I am now convinced will not happen).
