Fantastic service from a local company

I made a HelloPeter account just to leave feedback on GMC, who were fantastic. I ordered a GMC portable aircon online through Makro. Makro marked the order as with a courier for delivery, but didn't provide an ETA. I called Makro to ask if I could expedite delivery or even collect it from the courier depot myself, but they weren't able to help as the aircon was shipped from GMC, not Makro. I emailed GMC, hoping for the same thing but not really expecting them to be able to do much, especially considering that they'd handed the unit to their courier. The response I had from GMC was fantastic. Mari responded to my email within an hour, letting me know that they're looking into it. Two hours later I had a call from Greg, who was overseeing stock management and dealing with a killer week of orders - first week opening after the holiday season, and it had been an uncharacteristically hot week. He was very upfront and amenable, and clearly explained what was going on. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to make alternate arrangements, but I've been told to expect delivery early next week. I'll update this review after using the portable AC for a few days. I enthusiastically recommend GMC to anyone looking for an air conditioner, cooler, dehumidifier or heat pump and wanting great service. Thank you, GMC!
