Lichtenburg Wesvaal Service Complaint on Chev Captiva

I have written a letter of complaint to Lichtenburg Wesvaal Motors bearing the following content --------------- COMPLAINT ABOUT CAR: REGISTRATION NUMBER 095 RCH NW (Chevrolet Captiva 2.2) 1. On 06 November 2018, the car displayed a light and when we called your garage, we were told to bring the car in. The garage later pronounced the car to be good and told us that the light was fixed. 2. On the 07th the light came on again and once again I was told to bring the car in. I brought the car in on the 8th and the light was still on. On that day, we were told there was some oil leaking onto the injectors. Your Workshop Manager reported that they were going to order the required pipe and that he would notify it once it came in so that we could bring the car in. 3. On the 26th November, we received a call from your workshop and they indicated that the part that was ordered had arrived. We took the car in and the part that was ordered was replaced. 4. On the 27th the same light came on again and I called the garage and this time the car was emitting smoke and had less power on the road; 5. I was told that I would receive a call once a courtesy car was available; 6. On 28 December, I received a call to bring the car in as the garage had a courtesy car available and I dropped the car at the garage and the car has been at the garage ever since to date; 7. Sometime in January, I received a call from the garage indicating that the garage needed to drain the diesel and the car and would need to replace the diesel filter. An amount was indicated (R 1 800) and I agreed that the garage could go ahead and do the procedure; 8. Every time I have to call your garage to find out the status of the car and every time I get told, your people will call when the car is ready; 9. I called again this past Monday (11 February 2019) and yet again was told that you will call me once the car was ready. 10. I need to register a complaint with you that the car has been at your garage since December and unless I call, I am not getting any feedback. I do not know what is wrong with the car because the garage is not saying what is wrong with the car. The car came in because of a warning light that was on, the smoke coming from the car and loss of power . 11. Are you in a position to tell us what is wrong with the car? Do your mechanics know what is wrong with the car? Do you think anyone at your garage could find the time to keep us informed on what the status of the car is? 12. If the garage does not know what is wrong with the car, we would appreciate being told so that we can approach your Head Office for help? 13. For the record, the car has been with your garage for a period of a month and thirteen days with your garage not communicating progress or challenges unless we call and the response is standard saying “ you will call us when the car is fixed”
