Want you to pay cash even tho you have a medical aid

I give you one as as their is not an option to give you no stars!! Well what a shock i got last night thinking that i pay 95k a year for a medical aid discovery health! Laat night i took my wife to glynnwood hospital as she has a pain in her chest on arrive the first thing i get ask! DO YOU HAVE A MEDICAL AID! YES i reply they in seconds thak me to reception without doing or filling in any documents for covid protocol! I am meet by a very rude and disrespectful guy as he take my medical aid card types our membership into the computer he says you have no savings left you must pay a R1000 to see the doctor as you can imagine i was shocked i then told him i have extended on my plan that i am on he refuses as insist that i pay the R1000 after all the explaining and for the sake of my wifes health i had to pay in the money. Even after my wife was put onba drip we waited more than 2 hours for her to see a doctors. Is this what it has all come down to MONEY!!! we are going through a difficult time pay cuts retrenchment but all glynnwood hospital sees you as a fat pay check for these money hungry ***s. I wouldn't recommend glynnwood hospital to anyone
