Noisy nursing staff and bad attitudes

The nursing staff in the High Care ward was noisy, laughing and on their phones. Dropping bedpans and yelling to each other from my bed to the sister’s station. When I was moved to the general orthopaedic ward the nurses were even worse! They were yelling down the passages at each other, loud radio was echoing through the passage on an African gospel station. Majority of them were unfriendly and looked like they did you a favour in attending to your needs. They didn't put their cellphones on silent and their phones were ringing and message tones could be heard in the passages. I asked them to please keep the noise down as this is a hospital, I got an apology but an even colder shoulder in service was given to me after that. My bedding was a mess most of the time and when opening and closing my curtains everything happened in jerk movements, constant slamming of bathroom paper dispensers to get paper out. Their nursing staff should go for etiquette and people skills courses before they are given jobs at places where they are required to work with people. Just the basic attitude and mannerisms of staff generally has degenerated terribly. Not happy at all with the service and would definitely not recommend The Glynnwood to anyone!
