Bad attitude and Hygiene at G-Lodge Guest House

I booked and payed for accommodation for 2 nights at G-lodge guest house in Johannesburg for me and my husband. The pictures on internet looks great but its not what you see or experience when you get there. The surrounding area is very noisy until in the morning and full of drunk people, not safe at all. The mattresses including bed linen is filthy and full of stains. When we complained to staff, were were told linen stains are permanent and there are no spare duvet inner to replace the dirty ones. The owner of the lodge was very disrespectful and rude when called out at night to attend to our complain. He has the worst attitude and very short tempered. He was irritated that he had to be woken up for that, suggested we could've waited until the following morning to get the problem sorted. when we asked where were we expected to sleep while waiting for him till the next morning, his answer was "on the linen provided", as it only have just permanent stains and not dirty. He threatened us by chucking us out in the middle of the night and when we queried that attitude, he told us that we were not supposed to complain because he's been doing that business for over 30 years and never got complaints. We then requested to be offered one of luxury rooms and deduct the extra money from the 2nd night's accommodation money paid and give us change, since we were not planning to return to that lodge for the 2nd night, at first he refused saying we would look for the same faults again even if he does that and we argued that if those rooms'linen is clean we won't have a problem. We were then offered the luxury room and we find the same problem and requested another linen to double the linen on the bed just to sleep through until morning since it was in the middle of the night and couldn't get another accommodation. We then covered the pillows with our own clothes to make sure we don't put our faces in those dirty pillow cases. The following morning, the owner didn't even greet us, we were not even offered the breakfast they promise, he only gave us our change from the 2nd night accommodation money we paid after deducting the luxury room charges.

I'd like to advise people to be very careful of that guest house. It is not what its portrayed on internet. The parking area is full of people loading goods, you cannot be sure if your car is safe outside. We had the worst weekend ever in Johannesburg because of that experience.
